Send us your digital files or an actual copy of your book and we can
create an e-Book version readable by Kindle, Adobe, Microsoft
Reader, Mobipocket, HTML or .EPUB files.
Unlike many e-Book creators and scanning companies, we first
convert your work to DocBook, XML format rather than a
proprietary or closed format and when the process is completed we
give you the XML file so you will always have the original source
code. What this means is that, in the future, should you ever
choose to re-edit the work or convert your file into a new format,
you will be able to use the same DocBook XML file, which will save
you time and money.
Depending upon the platform of the reader involved, we can then
convert your DocBook XML file into HTML for Amazon.com eBooks,
.EPUB for Sony Readers and iPads, .RTF for some proprietary
Reader formats or Adobe Reader for many other Reader and PC
based platforms
The Process
1. We convert your book into DocBook, XML format. We can do this
from Word Format, PDF, Text files or scanned files OCR'd from
your original publication.
2. We then verify the new file for accuracy in content and graphics.
We take special note to correct for chapter breaks, page sizing,
table of contents coordination, accurate headers, footers and page
numbers, bookmarks and check for readability issues.
3. Your book is then converted into e-Book format from the XML file.
4. Your e-Book is now checked for accuracy to the original content.
5. At this point your e-book is sent to you for you to share with your
e-Book vendor such as Amazon. If requested, we can include a
JPEG and GIF images of a previously published book cover of your
publication for inclusion in your book format and for web marketing
purposes.
